It is important to remember that renting a holiday home is different from reserving a room at a hotel, bed and breakfast or resort. The benefits of renting includes having a home experience with full home advantages available to you throughout your stay. Many tenants find that renting a holiday home provides them with exceptional value.
In addition to bedrooms and bathrooms, rental homes offer living areas, eating spaces and other conveniences such as verandas and balconies. Rental homes come equipped with fully stocked kitchens, washers and dryers, and feature entertainment items such as a TV and High speed Internet access. The happy tenant is one who rents a home and makes use of it in the same way that they make use of their own home.
A 25% deposit of the total cost quoted, must be paid in full, within 7 days of booking. If for any reason the full deposit has not been made by the due date than the Homeowner has the right to cancel the booking and retain the 25% deposit. The deposit will be deducted from the total cost quoted to the Guest and the balance must be paid in full, six (6) weeks prior to the commencement of the rental period for which the booking has been made. Once the balance has been paid the booking is CONFIRMED. If for any reason full payment has not been made by the due date, the Homeowner has the right to cancel the booking and retain any money previously paid. For bookings made less than 4 weeks prior to occupancy, payment in full is required for the confirmation of booking. The Homeowner or its representative will contact you once fully confirmed and all monies have been received. Please note that in-line with Spanish Legislation, a copy of all visitors’ Passports or Identity Cards will be required for all Guests. Copies need to be received before the check-in date (preferably by email).
Guests are asked for a deposit against damages €500. Our main concern is to ensure that the Holiday villa in Calonge remains in good condition. The guest is legally responsible for all breakage’s and damage that may occur during the holiday and any cost of repair or replacement is refundable to the owner on demand. Any damage or breakage must be reported to the Concierge or the Homeowners immediately. The damage deposit will be refunded in full within one month of departure, if there are no damages. Occasionally, if there is something broken or damaged, the deposit will be held until such time that the item has been replaced or the problem has been resolved. Inside Holiday villa in Calonge you will find the full Property Inventory and the house rules. The deposit needs to be transferred to the bank account of the Homeowner before arrival/check-in.
You are not on your own. Closeby and 24/7 there is someone to assist in case of problems. In case of any questions of problems the solution is simply one call away. Please do not experiment in the house but call us in case of problems 24/7! Please check the operational manual in the house for actual telephone numbers.
Only guests that are registered (with id /passport copies) are allowed to stay in the villa. The maximum of guests in the villa is 8 at all times.
Pets are not allowed at any time in the villa or on the property.
Mandatory maid service is provided at an additional charge once a week and only if a rental period is two weeks or more. Maid service more frequently can be requested. Please inquire for the extra costs. Bedhseets and towels are provided per person per stay at an extra mandatory charge.
Pool service is provided once a week and only if the rental period is two weeks or more. Pool service more frequently can be requested. Pool service is included in the rental price.
Please respect the fact that you are using someone else’s home. Smoking is not allowed inside the house.
All cancellations must be made in writing by the person who made the booking. The letter must be sent by registered post, which will take effect from the date of receipt. Deposits in respect of rentals are non-refundable. In the event of a cancellation the following charges (% of total), will be made. The charge is dependent on the date the written letter of cancellation is received in relation to the commencement of the rental period:
a.More than 6 weeks 25% (deposit)
b.Between 6 & 4 weeks 60%
c.4 or less 100%
Please note that there is no holiday travel insurance included in your booking, therefore you may want to take this option through your usual family broker or travel agent when booking your flights. We firmly recommend that you consider insurance cover for cancellation, personal accident & liability, medical expenses, loss of luggage, cash, documents legal and theft etc. If you do bring valuables, please insure them individually for all eventualities, lock them away or keep them on your person at all times. The Homeowner is not responsible and accept no responsibility for any loss.
The area contains a swimming pool. Life threatening for children who cannot swim. The house has safety fences that can/should be used in case children are in the house who are not able to swim. As an extra safety an alarm can be installed (in the key box). Put on the safety turtle on the arms of the children and leave it on at all times. The safety turtle should only be taken off during showering or swimming. Please be aware that the turtle is only a last safety measure. If the alarm rings you are already late. Therefore please use the three safety fences at all times (basement, front garden and backyard terrace). Besides the fences it should be stated that keeping a close watch on your children at all times is the best safety measure. The Homeowner waives all responsibility in case of accidents.
Security of the Holiday villa in Calonge is to a very high standard. There is a fence around the complex and there is an front gate that can be locked, which we advise you the only open when passing. Always lock the house before leaving it. All windows and doors must be closed except for the two windows of the bathrooms and the small widows in the Catalan tower. They may/should remain open for ventilation purposes.
The owners are not responsible in any way for the loss or damage of any goods or personal belongings of the Guest and will be under no liability whatsoever in the event of cancellation, withdrawal or alteration of any arrangements or any losses or accidental expenses caused by reasons of war, civil strife, strikes, sickness, quarantine, bad weather conditions, natural disaster, technical problems of any description, terrorist activities, closure of airports, or any other circumstances beyond their reasonable control. The owner and the Management Company will not be liable for any injury, sickness, loss, damage or additional expenses or inconvenience directly or indirectly arising out of the design, structure, use or condition of any building or premises, their approaches or contents or mechanical and/or electrical services belonging thereto or out of any defect therein. The Homeowner will not in any circumstances whatsoever accept responsibility for loss of life, personal injury, illness, or loss or damage to luggage or personal effects or consequential loss other than for the negligence of their respective employees acting in the course of their employment. The Homeowner cannot be held liable for any actions of any persons (other than for the negligence of an employee acting in the course of his employment) or the failure of any failure of any public service(s) or supplies of a technical nature connected with the holiday arrangements over which they have no direct control. Liability is limited to the provision of accommodation as booked.
In the unlikely event that you should have a complaint whilst on holiday, please immediately inform the Homeowner by email, who will do their best to resolve any problem without delay.
UNFAIR TERMS & CONDITIONS
If any of these Terms & Conditions are deemed by a court of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, unlawful or in any way unenforceable then the court shall have the power to reduce the scope and extent of that clause to such an extent as makes the clause legal and enforceable. Should this be the case then the remaining Terms & Conditions shall continue to have full force and effect.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
The holiday villa in Calonge will be ready for check in by 16H00 and checkout is 11H00. Upon Check-in the concierge will be present to introduce the guest to the villa.
